Blogging – A Home Business Resource
Blogging has been around for years. Mostly it was thought to be the domain for children and teenagers to express their thoughts or opinions, publish photos and the like. However only recently have people realised just how important and powerful a resource it can be when used in internet marketing especially for those starting up an internet home based business.
What is blogging? A blog can be described as a web log or an online journal.
It costs nothing to set up apart from a little of your time and it is absolutely the easiest way to get exposure for yourself, business or web site.
So how do you get started? You can load WordPress onto your web site, open a free account with blogger.com (a Google company) or use any number of other blogging resources. What do you do next?
- Write and publish articles or reviews about products or services – either your own or others, in the case of affiliate business.
- Notify your clients or the general public of new products or services that you are launching and create exposure for your web site.
- Get feedback from those who read your articles. Get ideas on ways of improving your products by asking readers for their opinions or advice.
- If you are using it for business puposes, always include links to your web site thereby improving your search engine ranking.
- If you are trying to maximise your income earning potentaial, use Google Adsense and include links to your affiliates.
If you are using it to promote your business, then the best advice I can give is to publish original well written articles and do it often.
